Sketchbook ordering is open

Post by Stan Sakai »

If you would like an UY Sketchbook(s), I am taking orders now. The new one is UY Sketchbook #9, but I do still have numbers 2, 4,5,6, 7,and 8. Sorry, but sketchbooks 1 and 3 are sold out.

These sketchbooks are 5.5 x 8.5 inches, black and white, and 24 pages plus covers. They are signed, with an Usagi head sketch. The contents of each is a little different. Number 9 features a step-by-step look at my creative process from a plot outline to thumbnail drawings to a new 6-page story. It also has part 2 of my interview with Usagi.

Sketchbooks are $10 each, plus postage and handling. P/H is $2 for the first book, then $1 for each additional book. So if you would like to order 3 sketchbooks, the total is $34 ($30 for the sketchbooks, $2 p/h for the first sketchbook, $1 each (total of $2) for the other two sketchbooks).

Send a check or money order (do not send cash) to:

Stan Sakai
PO Box 70876
Pasadena, CA 91117

Remember to sign your check, and please no not send me a blank check. Make the checks out to me.

Traditionally, these sketchbooks sales directly from me has a time limit. This year is no different. This offer is good until June 30.

There may eventually be other sources for these sketchbooks. Bud Plant had distributed a limited number in past years, though he is cutting back on his business. EBay is another option, though prices are usually much higher. Let me know of any questions you may have.

European Dojo members, please do not order yet. We are still figuring out the procedure for international orders. We will let you know.

OOPS!

Sorry!

I was supposed to stop at the Kinko's printing shop before the post office, not afterwards. My computer printer is out of ink again. A private message has been sent in substitution.....

Stan, I got my copy of the new sketchbook in today's mail. Great one, once again!
Very cool to get not only an all-new Usagi story, but a glimpse into your entire process of making it come together. Really interesting stuff.

Love the cover. These zombie samurai characters that keep popping up lately are great.

Thanks again for producing these little gems for us every year.

My sketchbooks arrived today, and they look awesome!

They make fantastic gifts, as do the new trades and hardcovers, for nephews with birthdays during the summer months.

Big thanks, as always.....

No, just saying that the new trades usually come out during the summer.
