How to make comics the Stan Sakai way

Robot6 posted my step-by-step look at creating comics that was firs published with my Amazing Heroes interview back in 1991. Here is a link for those who had never seen it.

I later expanded it into 12 pages, and it was reprinted in UY Book 5 HC, Radio Comix's Art of UY, and DH's Art of UY. The entire sequence was displayed in my exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum last year. As I said in my FB page, I'm not sure how to feel about them posting the complete 8-page "story" without permission. Printing a few panels or a page or two is one thing, but to reprint an entire story without asking is obvious copyright violation. However, if they had asked, I would have given my consent.

I have all three of those publications so it wasn't new to me.

Stan, I actually found one of these pages on the web because Adam Warren posted a link on July 23 from his twitter account: http://twitter.com/EmpoweredComic

Another friend sent me a link to the robot6 page after he found it on an artist's facebook page.

I think it's a good sign of your standing in the comics community.

Best,
