San Diego Comic-con 2014

I'm going to be a Special Guest at the 2014 Comic-con International: San Diego, aka San Diego Comic-Con. I got the official invitation yesterday.

The con takes place July 23-27 at the San Diego Convention Center.

Usagi will be one of the themes of the Souvenir Book, so I did a Hellboy/Usagi color piece. Hellboy is also a theme. I was contacted by the publications department and, instead of the souvenir book, they may use the art as the cover of the Events Guide.

The queue to get the custom $10 watercolours every day was LOOOOOONNNNG... it surprised Katie and the guy with her (I forget his name). When I got there first thing on Sunday, I was told she would be in panels all day and wouldn't be doing them. Argh! I did pick up a Twilight Sparkle watercolour by Katie for my other half as she is into MLP. I had hoped to get it signed by Tara Strong too, but no dice, the signing session got cut short and I arrived too late on the Saturday.
