This is almost in my back yard, figuratively speaking! :)

Does this mean Usagi was backing Michigan State during the Rose Bowl? :D

On a more serious note (between laughing fits), I have sent an email request for some posters for my place of employment, and have already received a reply from Ryan stating that he will send me some posters. Unfortunately, I don't know how many, yet.

2014 MSU Comics Forum

To: Ryan Claytor (MSU Comics Forum Director)

I am contacting you concerning the recent posting concerning the 2014 Michigan State University Comic Forum being held February 21st and 22nd of this year in Lansing, Michigan.

At the end of the posting where you unveiled the poster to be used to advertise the upcoming forum, you mention that businesses that are interested in helping to promote the event can contact you to request posters to display in their businesses.

From frequent conversations about various aspects of the comic medium and industry with customers over the years, I believe that there are many of our customers, as well as people in Portage, who would be interested in learning and possibly attending this event. We would be proud to help promote the 2014 Comic Forum.

Hoffman's Corner Store is a family owned convenience store near the center of the busiest commercial district in the city.

Sincerely,
Steve Hubbell

I have also asked my oldest nephew Taylor (my step-sister's son) if he could help by also sending an email request for some of the posters for the Taco Bob franchise he and his dad started running this past summer.

And finally, I have enlisted the aid of the guys at my local comic shop who have also sent in a request for some of the posters.

So, I am hoping to get some of the posters for people here, but I do not know how many I will end up with just yet. Probably not enough to do any wallpapering...

If you want a poster, send me a PM, and I will start a list based on the time stamp of the messages received....

[UPDATE]

I learned from my nephew that Ryan declined to send him any posters. Since I do not know any details concerning the request or reply emails, I can only say that there won't be any posters from that quarter.

My local comic shop (Fanfare Sports & Entertainment of Kalamazoo) came through like champs. They gave me two posters so far, and have said they will give me the third one after the comic forum is over since it is hanging on the wall in the shop.

The owners of the store where I work have been on vacation for the last few weeks and they had all the mail to the store held by the post office until their return, which was Saturday. I should get the posters sent to me at the store's address today (Monday).

I am planning on sending another request to Ryan before the Comic Forum to inquire about possibly getting some more of the posters, if they have any left over.

I have to admit that they sure look cool! :D

I just got a bunch of posters that will give out at conventions, while they last, to those who preorder them. I will be at Emerald City in Seattle in March, Big Wow in San Jose in May, and Comic-con in July.

I realize that many people cannot make it to these conventions so if someone would like to act as a go-between, I can mail posters to him/her to distribute to those who want them.

They are free, as is the Eric Carle Usagi postcards.

Will you be skipping Heroes Con again this year?

Unfortunately, I will skip Heroes again. Sharon's health is still precarious, and with the death of 20 month old grandson and the forthcoming birth of our first granddaughter, I have been declining new invitations and canceling a lot of commitments.

OK, we now have a bunch more of the posters from Ryan, as well as some more on the way from Stan, so there should be more than enough to go around with everyone who has either requested one, or still wants to request one...... :D

By the way, the size of these posters is 18 X 24 inches

Now I need to try and find a nice deal on mailing tubes.....

Much obliged Steve :)

Probably not gonna make San Diego this year without intervention, so this will be welcome.
