We did not start the hard cover editions until Book 4: Dragon Bellow Conspiracy. So there were no hard cover editions in the first printings of Books 1-3. However, Fantagraphics did publish HCs when it was time to go into second printings.

All HC editions from Book 4 on are from first printings.
