San Diego 2015--what to bring
Only a few more weeks before Comic-con. Are there anything you would like me to bring? A particular book, art, print, etc? Dark Horse is discontinuing reprinting the individual trades in favor of the Saga omnibus editions, but I still have a few of these trades left that I am selling at cover price.

Stan: Do you have any of the coloured version of "A Quiet Meal/Dragonflys" left?
I would LOVE one of those.
I did not know they existed until I saw the thread about the eBay auction for one a little while back.
Thank you,
Buck

Will you have anything new in the way of prints, promos or signing cards this year?

Ah, Steve gets in before me asking what is going to be new this year
Anything I'll be able to get from the official website shop in due course I can probably leave. Depending on timings. Someone will be asked kindly to do a shopping trip for me this year...

I'm also eager to see what might be available, especially as far a anything exclusive to SDCC.
However, since I won't be there, I may have to put in a request for shopping too...

I don't know if DH will have a new signing card, but I expect they will.Steve Hubbell wrote:Will you have anything new in the way of prints, promos or signing cards this year?
There will be a new UY Sketchbook.
Hopefully, there will be a Groo/Usagi tote bag, if Sergio gets his part done. I may have some cloisonné pins (the old red ones), but may not have them in time for San Diego. There may be a Tomoe shirt.
Much of these items will soon be available on the Stan Sakai website.

Out of interest, will items such as the sketchbooks and prints be available through the website in the future too?

Ah, great news, and sounds like plenty of goodies to look forward to.
If anyone attending SDCC is willing and able to do a Dojo run, I'd be interested in a sketchbook, signing card and cloisonné pin (if available).

Sounds good! Unless something major comes up with work, I'll be there. It sounds like the Stan Sakai website is going to be a great way for people to get the convention merchandise without having to attend.
Stan, are there any particular items that you know *won't* be available on your webstore? That way I can grab extras at the convention for the other Dojo members. I expect the potential signing card would be one of these items.

Re: San Diego 2015--what to bring
I just learned that this year's signing card will have the image of the cover of UY Book 29: 200 Jizo. DH usually just publishes enough for the con. Give me an estimate of how many you will like beforehand and you can pick them up from me at the con. I will be signing at DH Friday morning, so will have them after that.jabba359 wrote:

Another item I will not have on my website is the National Cartoonists Society charity print. It will have a number of artists contributing to it, with a Star Wars theme. I think most, if not all, the artists will be at the con so you can get them signed. I don't know the cost, but it will be sold at the NCS booth and all monies will be donated to the Milt Gross Fund that helps cartoonists in need. I did a watercolor piece of Usagi and Tomoe as Luke and Leia (with Spot).

Ahhh... the card sounds cool, and I can't wait to see what the NCS charity print looks like!Stan Sakai wrote: I just learned that this year's signing card will have the image of the cover of UY Book 29: 200 Jizo. Ah, this time of year already....
If someone here would be so kind to pick up some items for me to be forwarded to Europe, then I'd like to opt for:
2 x new sketch books
1 x new HC
1 x Senso HC
Thank you very much in advance!
