Albedo 2 grade or not to grade?
In your guys opinion would you keep an Albedo 2 Raw and put it carefully in a mylite or just get it graded even though it's a low to Mid Grade? Just curious.
Take care everyone!

I have never really thought much about slabbing my Albedo #2, but I just learned that you can buy do-it-yourself slabbing sets so now I am debating whether or not to slab my various TMNT / Usagi one-shot variants since reading each one of them would be redundant.

One of those hard cases that they put comics in, usually when they grade them....maichan wrote:Steve Hubbell wrote:I have never really thought much about slabbing my Albedo #2, but I just learned that you can buy do-it-yourself slabbing sets so now I am debating whether or not to slab my various TMNT / Usagi one-shot variants since reading each one of them would be redundant.Explain slab to me (vs a standard board and bag).

Nothing of mine is slabbed, everything is standard bag and board in my collection
Yes, ALL the variants. I think I definitely would not have room otherwise heh...

Thanks!
I could see having one or two slabs to 'display' a book or two, and maybe changing the books out occasionally, but otherwise I'm okay with bag & board.

Re: Albedo 2 grade or not to grade?
For an Albedo #2 I would get it slabbed for sure. At least using slab kit, I would want to get it graded but would be so nervous sending it away if I finally got one lol. One day...

Re: Albedo 2 grade or not to grade?
I love the way comics look in Mylites. Nice and shiny. I'd put it on a stand and display it somewhere (slabbed or not). Why own an Albedo 2 and suffocate it in a box.
Anyway, if it's a low to mid grade I'd just put it in one of those.
I've never seen those DIY slabs before.

For something as rare as an Albedo 2, I'd slab it, unless you're looking to flip.
Re: Albedo 2 grade or not to grade?
Thanks for all the opinions. I'll probably slab it to preserve it. I do like the shiny gloss from mylite sleeves. Albedo 2 will never be flipped in my collection. It's my number one book in my comic book collection.
Take care all!
