Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

Hi everyone. I am new here, and I am new to Usagi Yojimbo. I have not yet read any of the books but I am very interested in the character and the art. I am planning on renting the graphic novels from my local library. The character is so unique and intersting to me, though I have never even read the book .... To Mr. Sakai:

I wish I had met you at Wondercon in April. I didn't even know Usagi existed then . Maybe I will meet you at next year's Wondercon or Comic-con....

Welcome to the world of UY! Once you get your hands on the books, you won't be disappointed. I think I speak for most everyone when I say that most of our first exposure to Usagi was some random picture that looked really cool. Or maybe the TMNT series. Mine was Donatello #1 and the Westfield catalogs back in '86. I also remember seeing the name in Mile High Comics catalog under the Albedo comics (1st app Usagi Yojimbo). At that time I had not read any of the UY comics and had no idea what UY was...all I know is that I had to get my hands on some comics with him in it!!! I started picking up Critters and 18 years later here we are...too cool.
