Playing with sepia watercolors
I'm doing monochromatic watercolor paintings.

Yeah, I know I'm encroaching on Julie's domain by doing a chibi character, but it's fun. These are all the tools I used.
This is an AquaPen. Different companies call them different things. There is a reservoir in the handle that fills with water. When you need more water, you squeeze the handle. They come in different sizes--fine, medium, bold.
Here's another monochromatic watercolor painting of Chibi Usagi. A few more of these and Julie will be out of her chibi-job*.

*Just joking, of course. She is hard at work on the last page of Chibi Usagi and the Goblin of Adachi Plain right now.

This will be the last of those monochrome watercolor pieces for awhile. I fly back to California, and deadlines, tomorrow.

Those are great.
I'd like to see one with Usagi in the rain.

A little surprised none of them have sold yet...
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
Re: Monochromatic watercolor paintings
I assume the Usagi pieces sold once they were posted on Facebook.

I wish there was a print set. I love these images but I can't justify the expense for original art to my wife
Beautiful images though.
