Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

Hey guys,

I'm just getting into UY and am curious what I should buy next as I've read what I have. I currently have UY Special Edition, Saga 1-7 and Legends plus the art book and the Sakai project. Any input on what I should get next? Generally I like compilations and collections rather than single releases. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The last three trade paperbacks have yet to be collected into a Saga omnibus edition. You could get those if you don't want to wait the 6 - 12 months for Saga #8 to be released.

It sounds like you don't have the Fantagraphics stuff? That's definitely worth getting your hands on, either looking for single Books online or the massive collection.

There's also the recent 40-something page TMNT / Usagi Crossover.

The UY Special Edition contains the Fantagraphics volumes.


I think you just about have everything UY story wise.

You might want to wait for the Dark Horse USAGI YOJIMBO/TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION TPB, 192 pages, scheduled for September 2018.

There are the Gallery Editions Vol. 1 & Vol. 2

And not Usagi, but by Stan, there is 47 RONIN and THE ADVENTURES OF NILSON GROUNDTHUMPER AND HERMY HC.

And then there is the Dojo.... you could read the Stan Sakai interviews.
