Does COVER A mean IDW is going to make multiple covers for issue #2?

Not that I know of.Gaffey wrote:Does COVER A mean IDW is going to make multiple covers for issue #2?
There may be a couple of variants for issue 6, which comes out in November. That is the official 35th anniversary month for Usagi and we're doing a updated look at the Albedo 2 cover as well as a faithful recreation of that cover.

Standard reference, even with one cover.Gaffey wrote:Does COVER A mean IDW is going to make multiple covers for issue #2?
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
Re: IDW Usagi Yojimbo #2 in PREVIEWS
I thought that was the case until I looked at the last two weeks of IDW releases. That's when I got a little concerned that each issue of Usagi was going to have variants. If it stated CVR A then there was a variant available for that title. I'll trust that you guys know what you're talking about.Mayhem wrote:Standard reference, even with one cover.Gaffey wrote:Does COVER A mean IDW is going to make multiple covers for issue #2?

Either way, I hope any and all variants get collected in the first IDW hardcover.
Some examples...
Cover A

Cover B

One cover - No CVR reference

Then I could be proven wrong
But if it’s the only one listed... seems odd then. Unless there’s a sub cover or RE to come. I’ll ask my comic place if they can dig into Diamond.

While we're talking about issues #2, what do you think about the cover?
I thought I saw something about this cover on the Dojo forum, but since I can't find anything here, it might have been somewhere on Facebook. Wherever it was, I think it may have been Maka that commented on how he thought the female looks somewhat human. That was my first thought too, but then I figured maybe Neko, and her ears are hidden by the hairdo.
The other thing that I noticed were here hands. What could those little bars be on her palms & fingers? And look at her right hand, the thumb and wrist, the way they are outlined. I think she is a puppet, which would make sense since the story is about Bunraku. Anyway, I tried searching for examples of Bunraku puppets to try and explain her hands, but haven't found anything yet.

Puppet!! Of course! That has got to be it.
Neko have shown cat ears with that hairstyle before, so this must be a puppet! Brilliant, Maichan!
Peace, maka

Ah, a puppet makes sense. I had found her vacant stare to be a little disconcerting, but now I know why.

good catch and also great theory...i think you may be right. my first idea about the pieces in her hands was that maybe she was a puppeteer but i think your idea is much more plausible..
