Usagi Yojimbo #6: 35th Anniversary—SPOTLIGHT
Stan Sakai (w & a & c)
In this 35th anniversary month of Usagi Yojimbo, Stan Sakai revisits the very first Usagi story, “The Goblin of Adachigahara”, expanding it from 8 to 24 pages and adding new insights into the characters and events, as well as revealing the reason for Usagi’s pilgrimage back home.
FC • 32 pages • $3.99
*Retailer incentives:
Order 25 copies and get one free variant cover by Geof Darrow!
I heard there will be some store exclusives on this and saw the rough artwork for one store in particular that has their artist doing an homage to the Usagi Yojimbo color special #1 (though it hadn't received approval yet at the time I saw it).
Usagi Yojimbo/Ragnarök Jam Poster by Stan Sakai & Walter Simonson—SIGNED—SPOTLIGHT
Stan Sakai & Walter Simonson (a)
Stan Sakai & Walter Simonson’s connecting jam cover (published as rare retailer incentive covers on the first issues of the new Usagi Yojimbo and Ragnarök) was just too good to not make into a gorgeous 24” x 18” poster! Stan did the layout and the figure of Thor, while Walter did Usagi. The rest was finished by both of them, mixing it up, each contributing art throughout. Laura Martin supplied the beautiful coloring!

Bullet points:
Each print is signed by both Sakai and Simonson!
Only 500 printed, may be allocated!
Each poster individually rolled and delivered in a protective tube.
I wonder how this will differ from the SDCC print, if at all? (other than coming pre-signed, that is)

Anyone confirm this or other variants?
Geof's cover is insane and hilarious, though in a macabre way.
Hopefully, Kevin Eastman and I will be doing a jam cover(s), similar to the one I did with Walter Simonson. Besides Usagi's 35th anniversary month, November sees the release of TMNT #100.
Tessa Rose just announced on Facebook that she has done another cover for Jak's. It will be available in virgin and regular variant editions.
Via Facebook messenger whomever I spoke with at Jak's indicates Monday is the cutoff for arrangements and that there will probably be 5-6 total retailer variants for issue 6.
I figure next week we will see more announcements.
