Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

Oh man...Stan just posted this beauty on Facebook. I like it better than the Slab City version. I'll be checking his site every morning until it goes up for sale.

Anyway, does Usagi sew on new mons whenever he visits the Geishu province or do they have a bunch of his kimonos on hand. I seriously don't remember what happened last time he swapped mons.

Oh, I hadn't noticed the new Mon he's wearing in this painting. With the last couple issues focusing on Mon and Usagi wondering how long he should be dedicated to Lord Mifune, I wonder if issue #10 has him turning in the classic Mifune three dots for the Geishu clan design? But then again, the single issue covers for 10 and 11 both use the Mifune three dot design.

Usagi doesn’t carry around a nap sack or anything. I figure the clothes he wears is some superior Japanese weave that doesn’t wear down too easily, absorbs odors well, dries quickly, and handles being ripped and poked by swords like no other. So why couldn’t it change mons when Usagi visits his different lord friends? Way better than some alien Spider-Man suit. Peace, maka

Are you sure he doesn't have a little pocket sewn inside his kimono for extras? Whenever I buy a new pair of shorts I seem to find extra buttons everywhere!

I was kidding around. I only have the first two issues from the IDW series. All the variants I started buying for the first issue and a signed copy of the second issue that came with the Grasscutter Artist Edition.

I wonder how many different mons Usagi has worn? That would have been a good trivia question if that section of the DojoBoard was still active.

You have Mifune, Geishu and whoever this belongs to. My memory seems to be failing me more and more these days.

That is the mon for when Usagi "joined" Lord Tamakuro's service in order to rescue Tomoe during the Dragon Bellow Conspiracy....

Do you have a Mon department set up in the UY Wiki?

Grrr! He was one of the characters in my Match the Mon contest and I completely forgot about him.
