New Usagi book plate

Post by Stan Sakai »

Comix Experience in San Francisco has been hosting a Graphic Novel Reading Group. This month the book will be Usagi Book 1 from Fantagraphics. Those who participate will receive a signed bookmark featuring a new piece of art.

If you would like a bookplate but don't want to or do not have the time to join the reading group, I have arranged to get a small number of these plates for personal use and will offer them to Dojo members for $1 each, to cover the costs of postage and handling, which can be paid through PayPal.

We can handle US orders easily enough, but will someone volunteer to be an International Facilitator? We would send you some plates for you to distribute to those Dojo members overseas. In this case, payment would be sent to the Facilitator to cover his/her costs.

The bookplates will come signed, but if you would like one unsigned let me know.

I have a limited number of these so this offer is only limited to Dojo members, and one per person. This offer is good for one week--until January 11--but may end sooner if we run out. We will send them all out after that date so we won't have to make frequent trips to the post office. If you miss the cut-off date, PM me to see if we have any left over.

EDIT: Please send PayPal payment to: stansakai@gmail.com, then send me a PM on the Dojo Board with your name, address, and if you do not want it signed. This is for US orders only. We are still looking for a volunteer for an International Facilitator. The IF would get his/her bookplate for free (save a whole $1) and international Dojo members would place orders through him.

Happy New Year,
Stan

Yes, a dollar is fine. It is to cover costs of Beth's time, the business-size envelope, postage and a one-time postage to the International Facilitator.

My time for the signatures is free.

Dear Stan,

To where/who should we send the PayPal payment? (what is the correct email address to use?)

The Comix Experience book club youtube videos I've watched have all been awesome. I hope I will be able to watch this live. If not, I'll watch it later. Paypal sent (I used the one I had in paypal, which I assume is the same that is on StanSakai.com website). Thanks again! Peace, maka

That is a good question. I don't know as I have never bought anything from myself. I will have to check.

Everybody--Hold off ordering until I verify the PayPal address. Thank you.

Oops, I sent my payment to your gmail account. That's the only PayPal address I had on file for you.

Not a problem. You are on the list.

I'm just waiting for Beth to tell me to which address to send the $1.

We have been having problems with PayPay. Julie was on the phone with them for three hours last week but the issue is still not resolved.
