Does anyone know when the Dogu Virgin Variant goes up for sale? Hopefully it's not a SDCC exclusive.

The regular cover is selling like hot cakes on eBay! TFAW is already sold out.

Stan's signature would look great in the sky.

I've been checking the site daily.
All three of the local shops where I live sold out of the regular cover yesterday.
Speculation on this new character is driving prices waaaaay up.
New issue selling for $25-$30 on the day of release is nuts.

My shop didn't have any shelf copies. They're only doing subscriber only for Usagi.

My store doesn't usually order many extra copies beyond the few of us who have Usagi pulls. I won't be able to pick up my issue until the weekend so I won't be able to check until then. That's crazy that this new character is driving the price up so much. But it does look like the tv show character. Interested in reading the issue and learning more.

How could it be the tv show character if the show takes place in the FAR FUTURE and the character is a descendent of Usagi. That would mean Yukichi Yamamoto would have to be a time traveler in the comic series. Am I missing something.

I think the cartoon character was named Yuichi unless that's been a deliberate typo the entire time.

I don't think it is going to be time travel (But Stan has always said he can do whatever he likes because he is the owner). But I can imagine there is some family tie-in because he is a rabbit. Maybe Stan will have more to say at the SDCC panel? Peace, maka

Stan has said in a recent interview on YouTube that ‘his’ Usagi would make an appearance in the upcoming show and there is a cool twist in the show that is neat so who knows what’s going on? Crazy times to be a Usagi Yojimbo reader/collector/Stan follower!

Oh, I never watched the interview. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I’m sorry, I misremembered. It was the recent twitch stream Stan did with David Petersen where he mentioned ‘his’ Usagi being a part of the coming Netflix show.

My TFAW shipments come once a month, so I won't be getting my copy for a while yet. Hope it isn't too banged up.

I missed most of the Petersen/Sakai talk, but tuned-in just in time to hear that remark and it stuck in my head. I'm really curious to see how it all works out.

My LCBS had both retailer covers for me. I didn't ask them if they had more copies though...

You can't go wrong with the dual head sketch. So cool!
