Thanksgiving is this holiday that focuses on being grateful for the good people, situations, and things on our lives. Here’s short list of my dojo related ones for 2021:
The UY Dojo boards was fixed thanks to Todd and Lawrence and Julie being willing to let them have a go at it.
The vaccine has saved lives and has allowed us to start to gather again. It was really fun to get together with Kyle, Michael, Adriel, and Daniel for a dinner. When I eat with friends, friendship is solidified. My first gathering with a group of friends that wasn’t in Santa Barbara or family. Felt great to hang out with you gents.
The 25th UY Dojo Fanzine that Steve hatched, raised funding, edited, published, and shipped. To all the contributors but artistically and financially, thank you. I shamefully haven’t made time to sit down and read it. I want to give it my full loving attention since so much love went into it. It is a remarkable gift to put together and give away. Lovely.
Posting the year of Usagi on the Usagi yojimbo! Fb group. It was great to read through Usagi again and marvel at the storytelling and art. It was a bit of commitment but I felt like I was engaged with our community there too. I got to tell some stories too. In giving, I received much more.
The small text message UY Southern California group is fun.a reminder of the friendships I made here.
Email or comments from Julie and Stan on various platforms. It still a thrill to interact with them both. They are just humans like us but I admire their years of developing their skills. Fun and makes me smile.
I hope you all have a restful and wonderful day. Thanks for being a part of my life.
Thanks for sharing Maka and happy Thanksgiving to everybody!
I'm grateful for the many friendships I've made through the Dojo and Stan's community. I count myself fortunate to know Stan and Julie and appreciate the time and care they give to the fans.
I'm thankful that my industry has come back from the Covid shutdown and that I'm busy working again and able to afford Usagi comics and merchandise. I'm also thankful for the opportunities I often have to help out other Usagi fans, both local and international, to get items for their collections.
Happy Thanksgiving! I am extremely thankful that I have not exploded like a character in Willy Wonka after eating two Thanksgiving meals with two different groups of family today. Now onwards and upwards to the next holiday season (and back to work tomorrow).....

Oh my... I'm late to the party as usual. I blame it on a food induced coma.
A belated Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Like others here I am thankful for the friendships that have been made through the love of all things Usagi. I am thankful for said friendships and the support that we provide for each other. I am forever thankful for Stan having created such a wonderful character, and for continuing to deliver fun filled stories for over 35 years. I am thankful for the internet which gives us the opportunity to connect with other people near and far. I am thankful to my wife for putting up with my silly but meaningful (to me) hobbies.
And most of all, I'm thankful to wake up each morning to live another day. Sure, sometimes it seems like the same old eat, work, sleep, repeat, but everyday has something new and often surprising.
