The festival is over.
I had a magazine interview this morning, then Duncan Fegredo and I were taken to Sacromento, the mountain opposite the Alhambra where the gypsies live in cave houses.
We got back at 3:30, and I did a short signing at a booth. I did another signing at the lounge/snack bar area in the back at 6:30 until 7:30 when I did a short interview/promo for channel 4 television.
We leave early tomorrow morning. We´ll get back to LA tomorrow night.
I´m in Spain

I don't know anything about it. They just stuck a microphone to my mouth and told me to say something. They did mention Channel 4, though. I assumed it was for the news.Pekass wrote:WOOT did they tell you when that was gonna get showed on tv? I can kinda guess the program, but I want to make sure I can see and tape it ^-^
Well, Sergio and I are back in Southern California. We arrived at LAX last night, after spending about 21 hours either in planes or airports.
We had a terrific time in Granada, and I'll set up a travel report soon. The dialect of that region is difficult for me. I don't speak Spanish, but I can usually make out every 10th or so word, enough so that I have a gist of what the conversation is about. But there, I could not. Also, there were not as many English speakers there. I don't mean to sound negative about the people or language, merely to point out my own inadequacies as a traveler. One funny incident involving language: A young woman excited ran up to me, shook my hand with both of hers and exclaime, "Stan Sakai--it is a great horror to meet you!"
According to the newspaper Ideal, the festival was a great success. Last year's attendance was 20,000. This year, it was almost 30,000. It also mentioned Sergio and myself as the most sought after autographs. And it quoted him: "Granada me encanta."
