Got my email finally. Booked into The Westgate, which I think was fourth on my list of twelve. At least it's on the shuttle route and under $200 per night. Pity they screwed up the reservation dates, so I had to change both (yes, both) to the dates we need. I'll check manually with them in a day or two to make sure they are defo having us when we will be arriving and leaving. What a palava...
Out of interest given the Hyatt is out this year, where will you be staying Stan?

Looks like a few SDCC attendees either accidently or intentionally tried to get reservations at the Hyatt under the AHA Health Forum Leadership Summit's hotel code:
http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_hotel.shtmlIt has come to the attention of hotel management's staff at the Manchester Grand Hyatt that some Comic-Con attendees may have made reservations under another group's code during the annual Comic-Con Convention dates this year. Any guest who has made a reservation under another group's rate will be audited and once verified and confirmed will be subject to immediate cancellation of their reservation.

I'm staying at the new Residence Inn Downtown/Gaslamp--it wasn't on the initial hotel list, probably because of the newness. Fortunately for me I had enough Marriott Points saved up to get three nights there, so I ended up just pre-empting the SDCC "Hotel Scrum" and paying full price for a fourth night.
