Introducing the awesome new Usagi Yojimbo Tea Cup from the Japanese American National Museum....

Stan Sakai (on Facebook) wrote:The Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles has made Usagi Yojimbo tea cups. These are traditional handle-less tea mugs, very heavy so nicely insulated. I think they are already in the museum gift shop, but I don't see them on their website yet. All the proceeds go to help support the JANM.
To order, click on the image below to be taken to the JANM on-line store....
According to the JANM store employee I spoke with when I placed my order by phone saturday. the museum only has an initial stock of 200 cups to start, so order soon so that you do not have to wait for more to arrive.
Just got a reply back. Shipping to Europe costs me (for 2 items):
1) Priority Airmail $42.00. Delivery time is approximately 1-3 weeks.
2) First Class Mail $21.00. Delivery time varies.
oooh, I plan on not spending ANY money on anything for at least til august this year.but this would make such a great birthday wish perhaps;)...does anybody know if perhaps the janm does donate parts of the income of usagi products to help stan and sharon?this would make a purchase worthwhile to me beyond the mere fact that my brains tell me I absolutelly need to get that neat mug and shirt!!!;)hahahaha
thanks for any info!

I declined any licensing fee or royalties for products exclusive to JANM. I want the entire proceeds to go to them.
Besides the tea cups, they came up with coffee mugs (with handles) a few months ago.
I see.well, then its still a good cause then if I'll buy them;)
hmmm, need to check out those coffee mugs, I don't drink any coffee myself, but I am interested in the design...I love the usagi sipping his tea design on the tea mug.
These teacups are completely awesome! The only problem is the almost $10 shipping, so I will probably not be getting one because $25 dollars for a teacup is a bit much. Still awesome though!
