Stan, just saw your name on the guest list for the fall Motor City Comic Con in Detroit. Just wanted to make sure that this isn't a typo or something before I make the drive up there. (Hoping that my car won't die on me by then... ::gulp!::)

I saw the Motor City people at San Diego, but I did not get an invite to their con this year, and they have not contacted me about it since SD.

I expect this is a typo. My fall is pretty full as it is.

However, the Motor City Con is a terrific show. I always enjoy myself there. There are many wonderful creators who regularly attend that show, among them Guy Davis, one of my favorite artists. The last time I was there, I shared a cab with Ron (Horshack) Palillo. That was a strange experience. And this was even before he was on Celebrity Boxing, fighting the guy who played Screech in Saved by the Bell.

I e-mailed the people at Motor City to point out the confusion about my appearance as a guest there.

Their convention takes place in the middle of my book signing tour of Poland, so I definitely will not be in Detroit in October.
