Upcoming stories 80-86

[Stan Sakai]

I've already completed work on UY 80: When Rabbits Fly. It introduces a new/old character named Dr Takenoko who, inspired by sketches drawn by a western visionary, builds flying wings. If the War of the Worlds story arc gets done, he will play a pivotal role in it.

81: Two stories--Into the Mist stars Tomoe Ame as a general in an army, and a second story features Sanshobo in a ghost story.

82: Vendetta's End has Usagi meeting Koyama Matabei. He has finally tracked down the last of his father's murderers, but Usagi cannot allow Matabei to exact his revenge.

83-86(?) The Treasure of the Mother of Mountains. A multi part story teams Usagi with Tomoe and the Geishu clan. A neighboring lord has discovered gold on Geishu territory, and starts a secret mining operation. Tomoe is sent to investigate the recent outbreak of plague in that area and runs into a trap. I'm still uncertain exactly how long this arc will last, but with this story, we are finally catching up to the Color Specials. If all goes according to plan, at least some of those stories will be in UY Book 20: Tomoe's Story.

Tomoe's story? Does that mean that I'll finally be able to read the only UY story that I haven't read!?!? YES!!! I can't wait to book 20!!

I actually started a custom Raiders comic by replacing the entire cast with Usagi characters...itwas fun but eventually got old because it was, essentially, nothing ew. But that's where I got my avatar...looks good, if I do say so.

Also, I'll be doing an upcoming series of fan artwork that revolve around Usagi characters in teh movies....mostly 80s movies. Hehehehe...
