This was my second "Deadpool" comic I have bought. The first was the "Do You Pooh" Ronin Rabbit comic which was a spoof of Deadpool as portrayed by Winnie the Pooh.Maka wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 15:43 -0700 This deadpool story was the first deadpool story I have read! From the title “The Perfect One's (or how deadpool got his swords) to the familiar cartooning, this is a gem. There are many Usagi like parts to this comic: lettering, death bubbles, humor, RYAAHH!, etc. If all deadpool comics were like this, i’d start collecting them. I agree with Jabba, this is worth picking up even if you can't get Stan’s retailer incentive variant cover. Piece, maka

love stan's story in this, you can definitely tell stan is familiar with deadpool. Perfectly blends the expected humor of deadpool with that of stan's. Perfectly showcases stan's ability to stay clean and still be hilarious.

The eBay prices have finally come back down to earth. The last two sold for $25 and $17.

I picked up a copy at St Mark's Comics' new home in Brooklyn last night. Great little story. I'm realizing I can't remember the last time I picked up a story Stan did for another book ... was the last one the Hulk samurai story for Marvel?? It's been a while, really fun to see Stan playing in another world.

I'd say it was either Mouse Guard or the Peanuts Tribute he did with Julie.Casey Burns wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 10:35 -0700was the last one the Hulk samurai story for Marvel??

If it makes you feel any better I paid close to $250 for a slabbed Darrow variant and then DCBS liquidated a bunch of them.

I don't remember that. EDIT: After a little Google sleuthing I found this. Looks fun. There was also a rocketeer comic that was sweet.

Oh that's right, I got that Rocketeer story when I was picking up that series. Super smart nod to yet another timeless hero.
Forgot all about that one.
I've never seen the Peanuts story, but I do remember it existed. I wasn't even aware he did a Mouse Guard story, I thought maybe he had just done a cover.
I'll track those both down, thanks gang for the tips

This is going way back, Stan also did the art for a Ribblet story in the Stupid Rat Creatures miniseries (Jeff Smith’s Bone). I bought the trade paperback for the story. Peace, maka
