It's frustrating enough when a Usagi story is not made available in print for those of us that don't buy trades, but it features Usagi AND Jotoro??
So...not...fair.
Don't get me wrong. I fully realize that I can just go to the site and read it there, but Dark Horse won't have it posted forever. Eventually, I'm going to want to pull it out of one of my two long boxes of comics devoted entirely to Usagi and hold it in my lap with a hot cup of tea by my side. I'm just not an electronic media kind of guy.

Yes, but I don't buy the trades. I collect the actual comic and seek out other comics and magazines whenever Usagi appears in them.Mayhem wrote:Well if it's like the previous Usagi story on the DHP website, then it'll make one of the collected trades...
Nothing against the trades. I just prefer the feel of a comic, the immediacy of reading it when it first comes out, and the larger size for the artwork. It seems silly to have to buy an entire trade on top of all this just to get a single story. I mean, I've spent years tracking down issues of Dark Horse Extra just to own two similarly short stories, but at least there was an opportunity to grab those ridiculously rare copies when they first came out. There's simply no opportunity to get stories like these unless you buy the trades.
I'd really appreciate it if Dark Horse would later reprint these short digital stories in the back of Usagi issues or something so that we issue buyers aren't penalized.

I can appreciate your dilemma. There must be others in your situation, or completely unaware that there is an Usagi story on the DH website. I will ask Diana if we can print the story on the back cover of an upcoming issue. That way, it can be printed in color. It is two pages, so will fit nicely sideways on a page.shaxper wrote:

In 2025, I finally bought the MySpace Dark Horse Presents trade paperbacks. Add it to the pile of books to read.
Peace, maka
