I will be doing a series of presentations in Seattle next week. A couple of them are at schools, so closed to the general public, but two of them are at libraries and open to everyone.
The libraries are:
Tuesday Oct 4--Ranier Beach Branch 4-5 pm
Wednesday Oct 5--Central Library 7-8 pm
There will be a signing after each presentation

I will also be interviewed for the Post Intellegencer today, for an article that will be published before the library visits.

I contacted Andra Addison (communications director at the Seattle Public Library - 206-386-4103) to ask about the "promotional materials" Chance Hunt (Youth Services Coordinator at The Seattle Public Library - 206-386-4097) mentioned in his message to John Lustig of Cartoonist NW, and was told that she would see about sending me one of the posters and flyers in the mail. Andra also said that she would check with Chance Hunt about the availability of additional pieces of the promotional material after Stan's appearance at the libraries.(Yahoo Group) CartoonistsNW wrote:From: "John Lustig" <john@...>

Hi John:
I am the Youth Services Coordinator for The Seattle Public Library, and
I learned recently that you helped to coordinate a fundraiser for the
Friends of the Library for our comics collection--hope the event went
well.
I am writing to you to ask for your help in spreading the word that
Usagi Yojimbo creator Stan Sakai will be doing two public presentations
for the Library in October:
4 p.m., Tuesday, October 4 at the Rainier Beach Branch
7 p.m., Wednesday, October 5 at the Central Library
We are preparing promotional materials now and would be happy to send
to you electronically if you or Cartoonists Northwest can help us get
the word out. We are bringing Stan up from California as part of our
Teen Read events in October and want to include the entire comics
community in these events.
Thanks for your help--and I look forward to hearing from you.

I also contacted the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in downtown Seattle, WA and purchased a copy of the Monday, October 3rd, 2005 Seattle Post-Intelligencer which contains the article by Cecelia Goodnow which Stan mentioned being interviewed for.
