Yeah, I had shell shock back in the mid 1990s when I attended my first SDCC. I loved it, but, whoa. I have skipped the last couple cons because of the mobs, as well as how finding a decent hotel nearby has gotten riculously hard and expensive. I did love the one year I stayed at the Marriot that is right next to convention center. That was awesome.

Hello UYDers,
ERROR (edit) four day passes are sold out. I miss read it. It said "On sale UNTIL Sold Out." Sorry about that Mayham.
Can you tell this is the first time I'm going to SDCC?
The individual day passes are on sale now.
I signed the contract to rent a house for a week. But the rental starts on Saturday. So I will miss the last two days of the con. Still this will be my first SDCC and I am excited. I hope the sessions I want to see are on Thursday or Friday.
I hope to meet some of you there.
Peace, Maka

For a moment you almost gave me a heart attack. Are you absolutely sure?! I've just run through the application process myself just in case and it's gone through fineMaka wrote:FYI the four day passes are sold out.

Kris and I should be there this year as usual...

4-Days still available according to the official website...
It does say "Until Sold-Out", so that might be the confusion...

If you are planning on going to Comic-con International: San Diego and have not bought your membership, buy it NOW! Four-day memberships will be gone long before July. According to Evanier, they may be gone by April1. You can keep track of registration sales here:

The landrush for hotels through the con travel services opens on March 19 at 9 AM Pacific Time.
Good luck.

I take it that you'll be "guest of honor" there, so you won't have to worry about hotel booking, right Sensei?!
Anyway, my best wishes to all planning to go to SDCC; I hope you'll have minimum fuss about getting your hotel reservations done.

I'd like to go to SDCC sometime, but hearing about stuff like that always scares me off a little bit. It was nice getting to see Stan at a much smaller con in Austin last weekend.Wily Pueo wrote:Yeah, I had shell shock back in the mid 1990s when I attended my first SDCC. I loved it, but, whoa. The 4-days are all gone.
That HAS to be faster than last year.
Each day is still available, but it'll cost if you want all four days.
I don't understand why they don't sell the three-day memberships they sold over two years ago-- Thurs., Fri., and Sunday-- 'cause let's face it, Saturday is too darn crowded!
Ah well!
