Re: Good News for the DojoBoard
Maka and Lawrence, you have made me very happy by repairing and improving our Dojo.
I ritually visit our Dojo a couple of times a day since I joined in 2002.
When the site went down i felt cut off from civilization.
Here is a screenshot of how clean the file upload interface looks.
The information about file size is nice to know.
Thank you all for the fun!
Best wishes,
go

Wow!!!!
I'm so glad the board is back up. I felt pretty cut off without it, even with all of the work that went into keeping us all in contact.

I just noticed that the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo: America link doesn't work. It goes straight to a white page with the following link.

THe link on the site hasn't been updated yet, this is forum4 and the link still points to the old forum3.

Re: Good News for the DojoBoard
Correct. We’ll have to let the webmasters of www.Usagi yojimbo.com know to update their link.
Update: Lawrence is going to try and see if he can fix the email problem Steve pointed out today. Regardless if he can fix it or not, most of this site is working now. So I think after today we can let people know about it.
Maichan brought up the point that Stan asked us not to share some SDCC updates here because it hasn’t been announced yet. As we open this up, we don’t necessary know if new people who join the forum will respect Stan wishes. I want to believe people will but I guess we will have to wait and see. Thoughts?
Peace, maka

Re: Good News for the DojoBoard
That had crossed my mind as well. I wonder if an old forum will bring in even a fraction of the crowd that the FB group does? I feel like forums tend to be a lot less frequented these days.Maka wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 6:36 -0700Maichan brought up the point that Stan asked us not to share some SDCC updates here because it hasn’t been announced yet. Had no idea that the Dojo was back up! Glad to see it back.
Facebook is OK but doesn't really lend itself to sustained conversations.

Glad the forum is back! I have been following stuff on the public Facebook page even though I don’t have a FB account. Thank you all who worked to bring it back up online.

Another benefit of using https: seems to be that you get the UY icon instead in the top left corner.
. Peace, maka

Maka, I didn't notice a difference with the UY logo between using http and https...which browser are you using?

Strange! I am not seeing the logo on Safari on my iPhone regardless of http or https. On my Android phone it appears. In Windows 10 it appears for both too...Might be a local setting?
