Unfortunately, I depleted my supply of the Kite Poster awhile back. It is the covers to UY 41&42 (is that right?), connected into one long poster. You can also see it on the inside front and back covers to the Art of UY. It was originally a commissioned drawing for Dojo member Wiley Pueo.

Stan Sakai wrote:We did a poster mailing for (I think) the Kite Festival. I got 400 requests for posters. I mailed them all myself, absorbing the costs for large envelopes and postage. Mailing a single tube is one thing, but I don't want to deal with sending out 100 poster tubes. Postage has gone up a lot in the past 10 years, and I think it is going up again in early 2009.

The offer for the Kite Festival went out to the general Dojo mailing list. I think the 25th anniversary print will be limited to posters on this forum.
Wow, I had no idea so many were sent out. Then again the kite poster IS a lot smaller than this one coming up. I wouldn't think to ask you send me the 25th Anniversary poster Sensei without compensating you fully for the costs required to get one to the UK (postage and packaging).

I would most definitely love the 25th ann. poster too and I think a modest postage / packaging fee is something most people wouldn't have a problem with. It's too bad Dark Horse didn't offer the promo posters it's done on their website. Since they give them away free at cons they should offer them on the website for a small fee.

Have any plans materialized for the 25th anniversary poster?

25th anniversary poster

Post by Shadowfax »

Sensei;
Will there be any chance of dojo members purchasing a 25th anniversary poster if we cannot attend a convention this summer? I suppose they might start to appear on Ebay . . .

I'll chime in a desire for this too. I'd hoped that Dark Horse would have had them in time for the New York Comic Con, but sadly there's no love for the East Coast... :(

I have a question.

I recived an poster from Kony with Sensei's autograph (Thank You Very Much Sensei :) and all the people who took part in sending it to me) and im thinking about going to glazier and ordering an frame for poster...and i was searching for poster's size, i noticed Sensei wrote it is about 17x22, but what scale is it? Of course i could take it to the glazier and he could take a look himself at it, but if anyone knows the size of poster please write it here :)

The diamentions are 30 x 22 inches or 74.4 X 56 cm (approximate), as far as a "size" for it, I have no idea.
