Re: Who do you want in a Usagi Yojimbo Series 3 statue set?
Sure was fun reading through this thread again, Stan has created some very cool characters and everybody here has their own ideas as to which ones they prefer the most.
Now I am also stuck wondering what is going on in Roel's life lately and if there is any news to be had on the status of a possible Usagi series 3 set.
Series 2 is COMPLETELY SOLD OUT over at Roku Toys, so that has to be a good sign, even if there are still some of the series 1 statues left.
Maybe if a bunch of us each bought another statue as a gift for a friend or family member who also enjoys reading Usagi, and includes an inquiry on the status of a Usagi series 3 set, they would see that there is still plenty of demand left for more statues.
And the series 1 statues are still available at the listed sale price......

Thanks Steve. I know I've been posting a lot. I'm a huge Usagi Fan. I simple stumbles upon him through a Darkhorse app. The art drew me in. I bought a digital comic and eventually I bought like 8 of the digital comics. Now I have all the volumes! I'm still catching up though. I'm up to 13 and I read Yokai thinking there'd be no spoilers. Unfortunately I know now that Usagi already knew Sasuke. Sasuke is now one of my favs if not my fav.Steve Hubbell wrote:Nice choices!CrimzDaReaper wrote:I plan on buying the reg Usagi series one statue, I already have Jei though.

I think Sasuke is a lot of people's favorite, even though he has only appeared a few times so far. The Lord of Owls is also up there in high regards even though he has only appeared twice (many many years apart). Something about the mysteries surrounding them.

I don't know if this thread is completely still active, but I'll list the ones I really wanna see.
1) Chizu (because of reasons)
2) Yagi and Gorogoro
3) Stray Dog
4) Sanshobo
5) hmmmm perhaps the Woodcutter & Wife? That one I would DEFINETLY get.

1. Stray Dog-Fine foil and rival to Gen.
2. Yagi and Gorogoro-More needs to be said?
3.Sasuke -Ought to have more appearances, something appealing fanwise about him.
4. Lord Hebei-Also memorable.
5. Mole Ninja.-Interesting ninja.
Ishida, Inazuma, Sanshobo and Chizu will eventually turn up, but the woodcutters are iconic. They should be included. As for a later set, Jei will need a Keiko to trail behind him when you're menacing Inazuma while playing with your Usagi figurines and diorama set. The shades are drawn, of course.

Lord Hebi would make a very eye-catching statue.
Neko Ninja would be cool too.

Cool thread! Here are my choices:
1) Chizu
2) Sasuke
3) Mariko
4) Wood Cutter and Wife
5) Inazuma
Something about the ladies for me, I guess!
On a side note, anyway to get a hold of any of the Series 2 statues at this point??? Being late to the game (only starting about a year ago down this wonderful Rabbit Hole (pardon the pun) of collecting and loving all thingss Usagi) I missed the boat on that series.
Thanks!

Yes, Roku Toys still has complete "Exclusive" Series One sets available for $300 (six statues). I believe that you can still order individual Series One statues as well. I just ordered a complete set yesterday. But, they are completely out of all Series Two statues and have a long waiting list per the Customer Service person I emailed with. But they were super helpful and you can order Series One from the link below:Usagi-Yojimbo wrote:I was wondering, too, if there was anyway I could get any of the Series 1 or 2?
