I did an interview for a documentary about Morrie Turner today. Morrie is the creator of the comic strip Wee Pals, the first multi-ethnic syndicated comic strip. Morrie was the first syndicated African American cartoonist.
Keeping the Faith With Morrie was an award winning documentary, but they're extending it to a 60 minute version and explore other cartoonists of "color". Some of the other cartoonists interviewed are Sergio Aragones, Phil Ortiz, and Floyd Norman.
