Groo at San Diego

Post by Stan Sakai »

One of the themes for Comic-Con International: San Diego is the 25th Anniversary of Groo. I guess I'll be doing something for this year's souvenir book.

Other themes are the 100th birthday of Herge, 30 years of Star Wars, 25 years of Love and Rockets, and Dave Steven's Rocketeer's 25th anniversary.

Hotel reservations open at 9 am Pacific Time, February 6. Set your speed dial now.

Jeeze, I just suddenly felt incredibly OLD!!

25 years of Groo?? (has the first Pacific one)

30 years of Star Wars?? (faints)

25 years of both Love and Rockets AND The Rocketeer????

*sighs deeply*

GAD! I intend to be there, but at the moment, I feel like I need a walker...

That means I need to put out a plea for someone planning on attending the CCI San Diego to volunteer to get me a copy of the souvenir book, since I am a big Groo fan and collector as well, and there is not much chance of me making it to San Diego for the convention.

Steve, I'll give you one of mine. Just remind me!

PS: 2007 is also the 20th Anniversary of the very first ongoing UY comic series....UY Vol 1 #1 published back in 1987.
