The programming schedule for Thursday and Friday are posted:

http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci08_prog_thu.php

http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_search ... %5B%5D=139

It looks like the annual Groo panel will take place Thursday at 1:00 in Room 8.

I also highly recommend the Guest Spotlight on Floyd Norman. He is one of my lunch buddies, and is a walking history of animation having started at Disney in 1956 working under the Old Maestro himself. He received the Winsor McKay Award for Lifetime Achievement and was made an official Disney Legend in October. He is also a very articulate and entertaining speaker.

I am pleased to see that one of my favorite American comic artist for reeeeeaaaalllllly strange comics is featured as well:

Thursday:
2:00-3:00 Spotlight on Jim Woodring: Please Stand By—Comic-Con special guest Jim Woodring (The Frank Book) presents a slide show with commentary providing a rare overview of his life, career, motivations, methods, and dark personal secrets. Q&A session to follow. Room 10

I'd sure as hell attend that, if only to see the man and find out what's his view of life, the universe, and everything...

Looks like the Thursday page is down for the moment... did get the chance to look through it, quite a few things there I'd like to see. Sadly the Doctor Who/Torchwood presentations conflict with the Sergio one, so I'm likely to be at the former...

The programming schedule was posted prematurely, as that was not the final schedule.

A new posting will be up once it is finalized.

At least the Friday one still works (from your link)-- Nothing much in the way of interesting programing for me except at six-- BEANWORLD IS BACK!!!!!!

Yes, Friday looks pretty light on the goods. Maybe an opportunity to hold the annual UYD photo shoot???

Yeah I was gonna suggest the same actually, not that much happening on Friday I'd be going to (not sure about Kris yet). And I might hop into the Beanworld presentation, I read quite a lot of the issues in the 80s courtesy of someone in my school year getting it. Been a long time since they were read, like I can remember much about it now

Sounds good to me as well.

It's sad, usually Friday has a few things I'm interested in.

But YES! BEANWORLD! I am SO glad I'm staying in S.D. this year-- otherwise I'd not be able to see this.

*rummages closet for Beanworld Christmas stocking sister made decades ago*

WOOT-- I went to snag the link, and now it shows a partial of Thursday's Programming-- DOC Savage is first up!

Weird-- I clicked "fandom" and stuff came up that isn't listed on the Friday page linked here. Makes Friday a tad more interesting.

I think the Friday link Stan posted only has entries tagged with the keyword "comics", not everything... hitting "Fandom" reveals a "Spaced" presentation on Friday I'll probably go to for example. And just after it is a "Ghostbusters" game presentation with Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson in attendance which might warrant a view also.

Probably need to now wait for the proper search form to become live before making decisions...

Hitting television brought up a bunch of nice things as well!

Friday still seems a bit light for me, but the afternoon/evening programs look cool!!! MST3K!

The official Thursday schedule is now up at the site. Figures that the Sergio one would have some competition with stuff like Torchwood....

Yeah Thursday is rather kicking off with a bang, certainly more than it did two years ago.

Two years ago was, for the Turtle fan, our first look at "TMNT"!!!

Plus it was the year I got to meet so many people from all over the net.

Wednesday - might do the Fringe preview, depends if we are buying stuff and/or meeting people and/or wanting to get something to eat and just rest up before the chaos of the next four days...!

Thursday - these for almost sure on my part:

10:30-11:30 Freaks, Geeks, and Tiny Toons
12:00-1:00 Doctor Who
1:00-2:00 Torchwood
3:15-4:15 Capcom: The Making of Street Fighter IV
4:15-5:15 Afro Samurai (if Kris drags me to it, I think she wants to see this)
7:00-9:00 Comedy Central TV Funhouse with Robert Smigel

Heh... I meant in an overall sense compared to what we were interested in (and yes I was at that TMNT presentation!). I don't recall them scheduling anything like the "Day the Earth Stood Still" presentation on the Thursday back in 2006. Most of that stuff was confined to Friday and Saturday. Guess the increased attendance and guarantee 4 day pass sell out means they can spread the goodness out a bit...
