Still waiting for my copies to arrive, but the Nichi Bei Times web-site as posted the current issue (kind of) on their web-site. Unfortunately, the Stan Sakai article is not one of the articles available for reading on the site.

http://www.nichibeitimes.com/e/index.html

There is information on the web-site for contacting them and ordering copies if the publication is not readily available in your location.

http://www.nichibeitimes.com/e/contact.html

Issues are $1.00 each, along with an order processing fee of $3.00 and shipping / postage charges. Definitely cheaper to purchase multiple copies at once, especially if you know other Usagi or manga/anime fans who might be intersted in the articles in the publication.

I haven't seen the newspaper or the article yet. Did I sound at least half-intelligent?

Abayo,
Marchino
It is the current or most recent issue published, dated July 10-16, 2008 and appears to be (pauses to look at cover image posted above) issue #16,649.

You sounded fine, Stan. It covered everything pretty well and got the facts strait at least.

I wonder if Ben Hamamoto is related to Darrell Hamamoto, who wrote the first review of Usagi Yojimbo in the Tozai Times way back in March 1987...
