As much as I love all the
Usagi covers, I
really enjoy the covers (like this one) that feature some sort of action scene, or a clever story in-and-of-itself that illustrates some theme from the book. That way we get to see Stan's uncanny sense of composition with multiple figures, all of those great details in the background and in each of the characters, plus in this case, a great "floo!" moment!
What's more, I can't get enough of the black and white illustrations. The line work and textures just jump out in a way that color can't quite capture to the same degree (for me). Though I look forward to the color version as well. Thanks for the preview Todd.
