Happy Naked Festival!

The Ohara Hadaka Matsuri of Chiba Prefecture takes place today (Tuesday 9/23) and continues on to tomorrow. In this 160 year old festival, women and men carrying portable shrines charge into the ocean. The trick is that the waves are still pretty big from the aftereffects of Typhoon #15.

CooL! Last Saturday was the 15oth Japan Fest at Stone Mountain I was in the Kimono show and modled Kimonos with my firend, Fumiko, and we wore our hapi coats and greeting little Children at our booth and it was soooo fun!
I never hurd of that Festivle befor, that is really odd , but really neato! Are you goingot it, or did, you just find it out?? Do you have pics??

It's a regional festival--one of hundreds in the country. I just heard about it. I live in California, so it's a bit of distance to travel just to go skinny-dipping.
