I noticed that return registration badges went on sale this past week, professional badges will be available by the end of the month, and I assume open registration will happen soon after that. So who is planning on going to San Diego this year?

I am planning on being too poor and too tied up with work to go yet again. I was also planning on requesting the assistance of a super helpful and nice dojo member to help me get my SDCC fix fulfilled again....

I suspect that's going to be the case with me, especially given my recent purchase! And a new girlfriend. No, not the one I had mentioned, we broke up, I've started seeing someone else in the last week or so...

I haven't yet convinced my wife that this would be a fantastic anniversary trip. Most likely I will also be talking to an amazing dojo member who did such great work last year I'm thinking about hiring him again to help me out with a couple requests

If anybody wants to go, let me know. It's luck of the lottery for the free guest pass, but I'm happy to try to get one when I get my badge when pro registration goes live (should be in the next week or two). I can't guarantee I'll be allotted a free guest badge, but I'll try to get one for whoever is first to PM me letting me know they want to go.

I was able to buy passes for me and Grusagi during the pre-sale last week. I look forward to seeing Sensei and any member of the Dojo in San Diego. Sad to read that some members won't be able to attend this year. I also look forward to meeting you at Wonder Con in 2 weeks. Thanks again for helping me get a pass.

Just to note, in case you weren't aware of some of the costs, the money I spent on that Usagi page? That's a bit over half of what my total budget (flights, hotel, spending money) was for when I last attended in 2014! SDCC is serious business heh.

My registration opens up Thursday morning, so not too much more time to let me know if you want me to try scoring a free guest badge.

Kris and I are both planning to go to SDCC this year, if we manage to get a badge. We are planning on helping each other during open registration. Wish us luck!

Too bad I didn't connect earlier, I would have told Jabba to try to get a badge for either of us.
