I had a strange thought pop up in my head the other day while reading one of your recent Facebook posts. While puzzling over the distinctions of you being on vacation, on sabattical, on holiday (very European), or being on a business / research trip with perks, I started wondering if you have coined a name (pet or otherwise) for the trip that you are currently undertaking?
And that led me to start looking at the Peanuts story for a possible cover image, and after running across this image....Awesome, Steve,
What a great idea. Count me in.
What was the title of the Charlie Brown tribute story he did with Julie (I haven't picked up the book yet). Maybe a play on that?
"Tokyo Story" is a play off of one of Ozu's most famous films.
Peace, maka
I think Clint Eastwood had a small part in that as well. I remember that movie from when I was a kid because it was the first American film that treated the Japanese with any sort of dignity.Steve Hubbell wrote:

....to what became the title.
Of course, "Escapade in Japan" was also the title of a 1957 American film directed by Arthur Lubin and starred Teresa Wright, Cameron Mitchell, Jon Provost and Roger Nakagawa (wiki)
That's cool. I didn't know that. Trivia question for a future contest.Stan Sakai wrote:That splash panel--I did Charlie Brown and Akemi in the center, but Julie did all the rest of the art. That was our first collaboration.
