I had planned on only selling the Usagi Yojimbo Sketchbook at personal appearances, but Bud Plant Comic Art contacted me about buying a bunch. I have been a customer of Bud's for at least 25 years. He is the oldest, most reliable dealer that I know. For anyone who has attended the San Diego Con, he is that big area near the entrance, right in the middle of the show. He carries a lot of current comics related books, art books, and eclectic stuff. His website is:

www.budplant.com

He also has twice-yearly catalogs and quarterly updates, which are treasures of reading and reference.

I just shipped off the sketchbooks, so it may be awhile before he offers them for sale.

The sketchbooks are 24 black & white pages plus covers, signed and numbered with an edition of 750. Each one has a pencil head drawing of Usagi. As the title says, these are drawings from my sketchbook of cover ideas, character designs, misc drawings, etc. It retails for $10 US.

Great! I really wanted to get one, but could not make it to San Diego. I saw one go for over $100 on Ebay last week, and had resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't get one.

Great news indeed!

I just got mine delivered by UPS. #211, if you wanted to know.

It's beautiful. As always, Bud Plant and UPS did a excellent job making sure the sketch book arrived in great condition.

Thanks Mr. Sakai and Bud Plant for making this available to us who couldn't make it to conventions.

(I like the phantom trading card rough - especially the usagi skull mountain. Very fun.)

Peace,

maka
