Post editing

Post by sschroeder »

I seem to recall that in the past I could edit my posts. (I'll often make a spelling mistake or want to change/add something even after a proof read or two.) Has this ability been changed, or am I just not seeing the Edit button today for some reason?

UPDATE: OK, that's weird. I can edit this post but not other ones, like the ones I just made in Dojo News (under UY 104). Hmm....

Hello sschroeder,

Welcome to the board. Glad to have you here.

This happened to me before. It was explained to me that one of the forums boards (I can't remember which one, either news or main forum) doesn't have an edit button for the original poster. But all the others do, I believe.

Hope that helps.

Peace,

maka

I'm not a new member, but thanks.

A little. I don't really understand the reasoning behind it though. From what I can tell, editing posts in Dojo News is not allowed for some reason.

Yep, I don't get it either. Maybe Todd could explain it.

Peace,

Morna-san recently PM'd me about a similar issue. It was true, you could not edit or delete your own posts to the DOJO NEWS forum. I have since fixed this and now you can. All the other forums have this ability. Go ahead and give it a shot. Let me know if it still won't work.
