I'm trying to complete my UY individual issues. I've won a few UY lots auctions on eBay this year, so I have extras of some issues to offer for trade (let me know what you are looking for and I'll let you know if I have it). I'm also willing to trade the following:
1) Soft covers of book 2 or 4.
2) UY action figure - Antarctic Press (Dark hours Comics Variant limited to 500) signed by Mr. Sakai with a small quick head sketch of UY. This one was featured a gray Usagi with a black outfit. I bought this for $15 at my local comic book store and had Mr. Sakai sign it in Monterey Park in 1999)
3) UY action figure - Antarctic Press (Glow in the Dark Variant - limited to 1500) signed by Mr. Sakai with small quick head sketch of UY. (I paid ~ $18 for this at my local comic book store and had Mr. Sakai sign in when he was in Monterey Park back in 1999. Don't ask me why my comic book store charge me more for this one than the 500 limited figure).
4) The original TMNT Usagi Yojimbo Action Figure signed by Mr. Sakai in Monterey Park with small quick head sketch. I paid $10 + shipping on eBay for this in 1998.
All action figures are in their original packaging in pretty nice shape. All three have the original price tag/stickers on them (I never removed them.). The graphic novels in near mint condition.
So you ask, "Why would you trade these rare collectable UY action figures?!?!" Three reason:
1) I am a comic completist (sp?). I love to own complete sets and love reading the original individual comics and the old letters columns. It's a slightly different experience than reading the graphic novels.
2) Since I spent a lot of money on acquiring Albedo #2, I'd prefer trading to complete my collection vs. putting out more money. Plus it feels good to trade something someone wants for something I want. Feels like we both win.
3) Because they are signed, I never took them out of their packaging and played with them. After a while they just ended up storage in my garage (don't feel like I'm truly appreciating them anymore). They are cool, but I rather complete my comic sets.
I'm looking for the following issues:
Vol. 1: issues 15, 17 & 18
Vol. 3: issues 9, 13-30, 51-60, 69
The radio comic art of UY issues 1 & 2.
The dark horse issues that aren't part of the UY title series (I don't remember what these are but I think they are like DHP Jr or something like that).
Condition isn't that important to me (although I enjoy nice copies as much as any collector). I'm just trying to complete the individual comics sets.
