Yeah, just around the corner.....
But at least you don't have to leave the country for it....
Seriously, if anybody has a chance to attend, I strongly recommend going so; I've had my once-in-a-lifetime experience in Paris and it was just great. (Admittedly, I didn't have to pay for it, and it was all spontanous and surprising, but, anyway...)
And, by the way, if anybody from this Dojo attends, please don't forget to take some photos to make us envious

But the lunch will be at the hospitality suite at the Convention Center. I don't know about the quality of the food.Maka wrote:
That's a steal! Knowing Mr. Sakai taste in food, that meal alone should be worth it.![]()
Back in the old days, the San Diego Con would have "breakfast with the creators". Each guest would sit at a table with 9 con-goers who paid maybe $15 each. You could have a nice, pleasant conversation and a nice hotel breakfast. Sharon and I sat at Sergio's table the first time we went to a SD Con. Who knew that years later he would be one of our best friends.
The old Inkpot Awards ceremony was also a banquet. However, with the inclusion of the Eisners, Russ Manning Award, etc, it would now make for too long a night. It's already too long as it is.
