I have been wondering too, how it went for you and Sergio not doing sketches for fans. It seems to have worked as far as things not showing up on e-bay. Just wondering if it feels like a sustainable solution in regards to your psyches... and in the long term.

As I said, I did do those head drawings when people came up with paper. There were a few who asked for a more elaborate free drawing, but I just told them "no" because that would cut into my commission work. They seemed satisfied with that, especially when most artists do not do those nice free drawings anymore. I guess they thought there was no harm in asking.
It also helped that I was quite busy at the con. I even lettered Groo at my booth, so it was easier to turn down a request for a freebie when they could easily see that I was otherwise occupied.
I did do a few, though. And I always did a nice drawing in that Artist Within photo book.
Sergio said he did not do a single free drawing. He was very proud of himself. I guess I was not able to go "cold turkey" like he did.
