Darn, I though I might get lucky with this one, if no one else knew about it. And its in my hometown too! Don't think I will be winning this one though, especially since I'm more interested in only the hc's from Dark Horse.

Maybe though...

I'm sorry to direct attention to that auction if it hampers your chances of winning, furystorm.

But rest assured, I'm not going to bid on that...

Book 4 is a nice one to have as well! It was the first hardcover released (if I remember correctly) and it also has the water-color painted story }Return to Adachi Plain" in it.

Steve - Book 4 was the first released? But there are hardcover editions of all of the Fantagraphics run. Are you stating that the hardcovers were released out of order? If so, that is interesting.

Yes they were. #4 was the first h/c released, Fantagraphics then retro-actively released hardcovers for the first three editions (they had been paperback up until that point) later on. I think when #5 came out it got the paperback and hardcover treatment at the same time.

Hm, 71,00 $ and "Reserve not met" . I wonder if he's still selling it or if he contacts the highest bidder for negotiation...
