Yes they were. #4 was the first h/c released, Fantagraphics then retro-actively released hardcovers for the first three editions (they had been paperback up until that point) later on. I think when #5 came out it got the paperback and hardcover treatment at the same time.
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
