Albedo #2!

Post by mikedaimon »

I actually have one of the much coveted copies of Albedo #2 that i am considering selling while i'm downsizing and switching to TPBs. I'm not a dealer, and I usually work through eBay (seller name: comicstoysplus), but knowing there is an actual CARING community here, if there is interest I will simply sell through this forum. My main question is (and it may be a stupid one), would you the buyer prefer a slabbed or unslabbed copy?

Thanks for the input

Hello Mike,

Welcome to the Dojo!

I think it is wonderful that you want to sell it to fans here. It has been done, IIRC, several times in the past in the early days of this board. I know one was sold this year as a result of PM. It was done in person and the CGC were there to witness Stan sign it and officially slab it with a "yellow" label.

One of the challenges you may face is that you are a brand new member here. You don't have an established participation history. In other words, the UYD community has nothing to judge if you are trustworthy or someone who is here to just scam people out of their money (I mean no offense to you). To sell THE key issue here without knowledge of who you are is a disadvantage for you the seller.

I don't know how you bridge that "trust gap" if you want to sell it soon. Good luck and thanks for considering selling it to the fans instead of the speculators who are only looking for an investment (not that there is anything wrong with wanting to make a profit :)).

Peace, maka

Thank you for the warm welcome! Yes, while i wouldn't mind making some money in these hard times, i also don't see the reason for gouging someone who is a sincere collector.

I understand what you mean about the trust issue: this is why i included my eBay info, so at least my reputation there could speak for me.

Thanks again, take care
