Usagi print

Usagi/Groo print - Does Sergio ever have these at California conventions?

Stan Sakai Groo insert card - I'd prefer unsigned.

Dark Horse Christmas Card - I've never seen one for sale

Some sort of postcard advertising an art show

I've seen Sergio multiple times since the signing of these and he's never had any available at the shows I've attended.Gaffey wrote:Usagi/Groo print - Does Sergio ever have these at California conventions?
Oh well, thanks for the info. I contacted Mark Evanier and he had no solution for me. He was the closest person I could think of, considering Sergio does not have any contact information. Next time I'll choose collectibles over bills.jabba359 wrote:I've seen Sergio multiple times since the signing of these and he's never had any available at the shows I've attended.
This is the image that Sergio did for The Sakai Project. About 5 images from that book were made into large prints when we did that signing at Melt Down Comics in Hollywood. I know there was a print of Bill Morrison's art and mine. Melt Down would not have them, but Sergio might. I don't even know if I have one.jabba359 wrote:I've seen Sergio multiple times since the signing of these and he's never had any available at the shows I've attended.Gaffey wrote:Usagi/Groo print - Does Sergio ever have these at California conventions?
Well, if Daniel asks Sergio for one maybe he could get one for me too.Stan Sakai wrote:This is the image that Sergio did for The Sakai Project. Does anyone on the Dojoboard own one of these? I'm not asking if you want to sell it, I just want to know how rare it is. I would love to put it in a poster frame and hang it in my room. I tried to figure out where these we given away and had little success. I couldn't ever navigate the Polish publisher's website. Yes I'm an idiot.Gaffey wrote:Another item I've never seen for sale.![]()
This poster was printed for my first visit to Poland. I did signings in 5 or 6 cities. This is probably at an Empik store--a chain selling books, music, DVDs and other entertainment stuff--in Warsaw. I signed at about 3 of them and the first 30-50 people in line received a free poster. I remember talking to a guy who said he stood in line for 8 hours waiting for me! I'm glad he got a poster.Gaffey wrote:Does anyone on the Dojoboard own one of these? I'm not asking if you want to sell it, I just want to know how rare it is. Sounds like they're pretty rare. Thanks for the info.Stan Sakai wrote:I signed at about 3 of them and the first 30-50 people in line received a free poster. I remember talking to a guy who said he stood in line for 8 hours waiting for me! I'm glad he got a poster.
Would you say these are one of the nicer Usagi collectibles you have? I'm thinking about opening a Facebook account to try and hunt one down. There has to be somebody on the FB DojoBoard that wants to get rid of theirs. Right?go wrote:Dear Readers,
Yes, i have one of these giant posters.
Sensei Sakai gave it to me right after he returned from the event.
Best wishes to all!

You would be correct. I've never seen those other than in your collection. That is why I was suggesting a Collectibles Gallery. There has to be many items that I've never seen.Mayhem wrote:Am I right in thinking the Xmas card and the art gallery card are my photos? I think I've seen one other copy of that Xmas card sold over the years, but that's it.
It wouldn't be a bad idea, something to put in the Wiki or similar.Gaffey wrote:You would be correct. I've never seen those other than in your collection. That is why I was suggesting a Collectibles Gallery. There has to be many items that I've never seen.
