Good grief! It went for US $1,525.00. I maxed out at $1500.00.

I think you lucked out by not winning. Just can't trust PGX.

Ugh its painful how much an Albedo #2 is now. A few years back I almost got one for $900 and ended up.not biting the bullet I need to start a money stash to save up and get a copy one day.

Well, partly due to being "graded", it's a vague guarantee of condition. Ungraded, you'd find it for less. Still think it fortunate that I bought the entire first series of Albedo for like $800 about 15 years ago.

To think, I recall seeing Albedo #2 on the rack of a local comic shop some 30 years ago, when I first got 'back into' comics... don't recall the exact price, but guessing around $20 or $30 (too much for me back then) and I never looked at it other than admire the cover. Back then I was buying Appleseed, Caravan Kidd, Nausicaä, Miller's Ronin & The Dark Knight Returns... wasn't for a few more years until I decided I was worthy of Usagi Yojimbo.

I don't recall seeing Albedo 2 on the shelf. I do however remember a stack Punisher #1 from the limited series (signed by John Beatty) and a stack of TMNT 1 (black & white) sitting on the counter of my comic shop. Of course, Punisher looked cool to me at the time and those turtles were in black and white and couldn't fit in my comic box (magazine sized).
