Usagi books on Mile High Comics eBay page
The list of Usagi books for sale by Mile High Comics resets every seven days or so and floods my newly listed Usagi feed on eBay. I know why their listing always resets and doesn't sell because of listings like this: TPB volume 1 Ronin VF(6th printing) for $63.50 plus $4.95 shipping
Are they hoping that someone accidentally buys it? Do they ever sell anything at these prices? This really has me confused from a business standpoint.

Mile High Comics' prices are outrageous. I think the owner is more of a curator of comics than a retailer. He's been around a long time so he's doing something right. I've never seen a copy of Albedo 2 listed for sale and they claim to have millions of comics.
I have purchased hardcovers from them in the past when they would have 40% off retail, but now I use IST for new trades/hardcovers.

I used to get a lot of comics from them, mostly variant covers. But a couple years back ...well like 4, the prices went up on new released stuff that everyone else would sell cheaper so stopped buying from then. Still get a ton of spam from them.

That was an interesting video go, thanks for sharing!
Mile High used to have a store near me in the city of Garden Grove, although they closed down several years ago. It was not my "go to" comic book shop, but I did occasionally shop there. The first time I ever met an artist, and had a book signed was at Mile High - that was a long time ago. The artist was Sergio Aragonés.
Many years later, when I was completing my Groo collection, I bought a number of books from Mile High (online), because assortment and the prices were good.

If you're looking to pick up some back issues, I saw Mile High has a 50% off code, LABORDAY!, that is active right now.

Re: Usagi books on Mile High Comics eBay page
I used to buy comics from mile high before the internet. Ha! But I became a true fan when The Tick came out. The Tick #3 was the first comic I bought in college, when a friend took me to this strange little store called a "comic book store" in 1988. I used Mile High to get copies of the limited edition issues of Tick #1 & 2. I love that comic. I'm looking forward to watching the new Amazon video series with my kids.
I also used their sells to speculate on certain back issues. So if any of you need a copy of Eddy Current #1, I'm your man.
Peace, Maka

Why would anybody speculate on comics?Maka wrote:I also used their sells to speculate on certain back issues. So if any of you need a copy of Eddy Current #1, I'm your man.![]()

Anyway, those were the good ole days before life started.

Should've bought 100 copies of Albedo #2 instead.

Re: Usagi books on Mile High Comics eBay page
I don't think I had ever stepped into a comic shop before '86-'87. I remember seeing a stack of Punisher #1 sitting by the cash register and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. That had to be in 1986. I'd buy comics and walk next door to the arcade. Anybody remember arcades?
