CLOSED: BLADE of the IMMORTAL OMNIBUS VOL 7

Post by maichan »

It seems I keep getting caught up with titles where there's one out-of-print, hard-to-find (at reasonable prices) volume.

This time it's BLADE OF THE IMMORTAL OMNIBUS Volume 7

All the normal sources are sold out, and my local comic book shop can't order it anymore.

If anyone can help me locate a copy, I'd be very grateful!

Due to a strange turn of events, I now have a copy of this book... quest complete!

The comic shop I now use for my pulls and special orders had tried to order this book for me. It went on backorder over a month ago, and they haven't yet received a copy. The reason for the backorder was the book is no longer available from the publisher. So I figured I better start looking again. I knew it was available on Amazon, so I was going to order it there, but for some other reason I was checking another book on Barnes and Noble dot com, and decided to check for BOTI Vol7, and guess what... while most stores showed it sold out/not available, there were 3 fairly local stores that showed it in stock... Until I called them that is, and they couldn't find their copies. One person mentioned I should ask my local B&N store to order a copy for pick up in store, since their system showed 12 copies in the 'warehouse'. I was going to go to the local store to order it in person, but decided to check online first to see if I could order it for pick up that way. I could, so I did. An hour later I received a text my order was ready for pick up. I thought, "What?! How could that be? Online they showed not in stock.'" so I called them to confirm they had Omnibus Vol 7 and not some other book. Sure enough, they had it. They couldn't explain why they showed zero inventory online, and thought it was odd too. Anyway, within a half hour, I was there and back again and another series is complete!

Wow, that's great! I guess I can delete it from my "list of books to look for" note I keep on my phone.
