Looking for some items

Post by Gaffey »

I was watching some of Fanfan's older videos and came across a few items I'd be interested in if anyone has a spare.

Art of Stan Sakai poster/print/placard (if available). This looks like one of those cardboard signs that hang in a window with suction cups.

Foreign Usagi poster. I have no idea which event this was promoting. I can only imagine something in France.

And this Usagi Drawing Class booklet Part 5 (?). Were there actually 5 different booklets? If so, how have I never seen them? :P

Also there's a sticker that features the art of Critters 14. I think Steve or Mayhem has one.

I have none of those things. But I have heard of the drawing Usagi pamphlets before. Good luck! If anyone can find them, we know you can. :) peace, maka

I'll try my best. :D

Do you know if there were actually 5 booklets/pamphlets? I looked through Steve and Mayhem's online collections and didn't see any.

I don't have any of the drawing pamphlets either, although I'm sure I've seen a couple of them way in the past. Also that Flickr album hasn't been updated in years, I probably should at some point...

Remember, if you find some, you need to find enough for all of us!

Which reminds me.... heard anything more on those 2018 C2E2 Sunday Kids Badges?

Yep, they won't be back in their offices until 2021. It'll be interesting to see which convention is the first to come back and will creators be willing to travel. Here in Florida we have local store signings (Michael Golden, Renee Witterstaetter, Sam De La Rosa) but nothing else at this time.

There were only two of those drawing mini-comics, issues 5 and 6. I had the first four planned and laid out, but never got around to putting them together. Issues 1-4 were to be of basic drawing skills--using basic shapes and drawing action. Number 5 is Expressions and number 6 is Extreme Expressions.

Turns out these mini-comics were reprinted in UY sketchbook 6 (Expressions) and UY sketchbook 8 (Extreme Expressions). :)

I was looking thorough The Art of Usagi Yojimbo and noticed that pages 2, 4, 5 & 7 from booklet #5 (the one pictured in the opening post) are included together on page 157.
