Thanks Shadowfax! I appreciate you letting me know. Peace, makaShadowfax wrote:Maka;
I decided not to take you up on the offer, I figured you had enough to do! I ordered my FCBD copies from Brave New World on October 1, they shipped them on the 19th, and I received them on the 26th. Just wanted to let you know they're good for it.

Dear UYDers,
I Facebook messaged Brave New World again and they wrote back to me, "Hi Michael, dude, my apologies. I will get you that info in the morning when I am back in the office. I believe I placed it in the unpaid orders stack at the time and it did not get moved into the ship stack."
So sorry for the delay. Hopefully, they get here next week and I'll start messaging you all for shipping addresses and payment. Thanks for your patience.
Peace, maka

I’ve sent another message to BNW but I haven’t heard back from them yet. Worst case is I’m out of $ and no one gets their variant (although they maybe selling them still on-line). But they have responded in the past so I’ll keep on trying. And I have to give people the benefit of the doubt during these COVID times. It’s hard in a lot of different ways for lots of people. Peace, maka

Just a suggestion, but maybe giving the store a call during business hours might help. I got the impression that they are not really geared toward mail order sales yet. I ordered my copy direct from them and had to send an inquiry before it was finally mailed out. But, that was quite a while ago. You should have gotten your order a few weeks ago.

Update: I followed Steve's advice and gave them a call. They said they were holding off because they had ordered a FCBD Overstreet (with the Shi/Usagi Cover, my local store didn't order it and BNW wanted to do something nice for me because it was taking so long) and it hadn't come in yet. I told them to just send the books without the overstreet comic. They said they would send it out today and get me a tracking number. Once it comes in, I'll contact everyone and we'll work it out. Thanks for your patience.Steve Hubbell wrote:Just a suggestion, but maybe giving the store a call during business hours might help. The books came in the mail today. I’ll be contacting you all via pm messages in the dojo for your addresses. Probably the day after Christmas. Thanks! And Merry Christmas! Peace, maka

Dear UYDers,
Okay, So Other World Comics sent me 13 issues and 1 copy of their variant of Usagi Yojimbo #1. They did this because they wanted to make up for it taking so long. Here's who I have down for copies:
1) Mayhem (but probably sent through Jabba) #1
2) Maichan #2
3) Gaffey #3
4) Jabba - 3 copies #4-6
5) Chicagoguy #7
6) Matthew R #8
7) Me #9
I've given one copy to my roommate Lawerence who went with me in 2019 to have Stan sign prizes for the UYD Charity Giveaway to The Hero Initative.
I have 3 more copies if anyone wants a copy. The cost is $5 + $3 for shipping/handling in the US = $8. Post a reply here until they are gone.
To be transparent, because I didn't pay for these, that means I will be making a profit. But I will justify it by saying that I ended up paying about $120 for shipping for the charity auction that winners who weren't able to pay me for shipping. Stan offered to pay for that shipping cost but I didn't accept his offer. Stan already donated his signatures/remarks, original sketch cover art, and multiple comics, not to mention he fed us that night we brought him the prizes to be signed ($100s of dollars worth of donations). I talked to Cheryl and she gave her blessing to pay for the extra shipping for winners who couldn't.
That charity giveaway is something I feel so proud of our community for. People were so generous with donations, buying tickets for others, and spreading the word. That kindness and generosity is something that this dojo has shown over and over again. You all lift my spirits all the time. We raised $3286 to help out our comic creators who have added joy to our lives. Thank you!
If you changed your mind and don't need a BNW version of FCBD 2020 anymore, no worries. Any ones I have leftover + the Issue #1 variant will go towards the next charity giveaway (I don't know when this is.).
I'll private message each person listed above because I know people aren't always checking the boards.
Wishing you all the best and more as we wrap up 2020 and start 2021.
Peace, maka
