At a thousand dollars, it would still be half the price of what the dealer down the aisle was selling it for.Fanfan wrote: I want a photo of the price tag on your booth !

I hope you chain down the cash box if you start selling copies of Abedo #2 at the con, because it would be a real shame to have another mishap....Stan Sakai wrote:At a thousand dollars, it would still be half the price of what the dealer down the aisle was selling it for.Fanfan wrote: I want a photo of the price tag on your booth !

Stan, you could always bring a copy and display it without a price tag, leave it negotiable for those serious collectors. Maybe the first time they ask, you could say, "not for sale". If they press you, and make an offer, who knows howmuch you could get?? Steve Gallacci used to do this at the con. I saw someone buy a copy of Albedo NR 2 off of him that was not for sale. The guy asked him how much he'd sell it for anyway. Steve was like "$150" or something, but "wouldn't expect anyone to pay that much for the book". Needless to say it was sold almost immediately. This was years ago.

Stan, have you considered trading instead of selling? Since you are a fan of some fantastic classic comics, why not take a few copies of Albedo #2 to a comic convention and see if you can negotiate a Fantastic Four #1? I'm sure you wouldn't feel as bad about trading as you might about selling. After all, your work is just as important to some as Stan and Jack's work was to others.

I'm not a real collector. I have a lot of the old Silver Age comics, because those were the ones I bought off the racks. I just never got rid of them--well, most of them.shaxper wrote:Stan, have you considered trading instead of selling?
